Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to the Sudoku Android application. The app is provided by the developer as a standalone Sudoku game experience.
1. Information We Collect
The app does not require account registration and does not actively request your name, phone number, email address, government ID, or other direct personal identity information in order to play.
When you use the app, it may store the following gameplay-related information locally on your device:
- current game progress
- selected difficulty
- selected global theme
- selected board theme
- selected language
- local gameplay statistics such as wins, losses, mistakes, hints used, and time spent
2. How This Information Is Generated
The information above is generated by your interactions with the app, such as starting a game, changing themes, changing language, entering numbers, or completing a puzzle.
In the current version, this information is primarily stored locally on your device so the app can restore state the next time it is opened.
3. How We Use Information
We use this information only for the following purposes:
- to restore unfinished games
- to save your theme, language, and gameplay preferences
- to generate and display local gameplay statistics
- to keep the game interface and gameplay flow functioning correctly
4. Data Sharing and Third Parties
In the current version, we do not sell, rent, or share your gameplay data with third parties.
The bundled web-sync.json file included in the app package is a local configuration asset used to provide static theme, difficulty, and language values. It is not an online account service and does not function as third-party profiling.
5. Data Storage and Retention
The app currently stores functionality-related data primarily on your local device.
This data remains available until one of the following occurs:
- you uninstall the app
- you clear the app's storage in Android system settings
- a future version introduces an in-app clear/reset option and you choose to use it
6. Your Choices
You can manage local data by uninstalling the app or clearing the app's storage from Android system settings. Because the current version does not provide user accounts, there is no account lookup, account closure, or remote account deletion workflow.
7. Children's Privacy
The app is a puzzle game and does not intentionally request personal identity information from children. If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe that a child has provided information that should not have been collected, please contact us using the contact details below and we will review the request.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time based on feature changes, legal requirements, or product adjustments. If material changes are made, we may notify users through the app, the store listing, or another appropriate method.
